As you may have heard, the National Emergency that had been in place since March 2020 has been lifted.
What does this mean for FCC employees and clients?
1.The most important issue is that ongoing qualification for Medicaid coverage will be resuming, but there is a difference in how each state is addressing the way things will get back on track.

- In Wisconsin, the process of reverting to regular renewals will take place over a year – from June 2023 to May 2024. Individuals will receive a letter that confirms that person’s deadline and the process to be followed. WI Department of Health Services provides information.
- In Minnesota, those on a Medical Assistance plan will begin renewals this April, and those on MinnesotaCare will renew in October 2023. Both will resume their typical renewal process in June 2024. Participants will be receiving a notice through the mail and the MN Department of Human Services provides information.
2.You will no longer have to fill out an Unusual Incident Report in the event an employee or client has a positive COVID test result.
3. Free test kits may no longer be provided after May 11 so if you want to have one you should reach out now. This link is good for Wisconsin and Minnesota residents, but at this point it is not clear when the free at-home tests will still be provided. Additionally, vaccines and PCR tests will no longer be provided at no cost to the recipient, and will be charged to your personal insurance.
