Please read on for more information about the Bridges Out of Poverty workshop, a free training being held at Western Technical College in La Crosse on June 14th.
When securing and retaining employment is the goal, professionals assisting people in poverty or those with multiple barriers need a mastery of interventions and a rich network of resources. The “Bridges Out of Poverty” workshop:
- increases session participants’ awareness of the hidden rules that govern many aspects of the lives of people in poverty.
- teaches participants about research based strategies for improving outcomes for people living in poverty or facing multiple barriers
- provides a tool to examine community networks and guidance on how to create a richer matrix of resources and interventions.
No registration fee will be charged. Coffee breaks and lunch will be on your own.
