As you all are aware, Gov. Evers has issued the closures of all “non-essential” businesses effective today (MN is likely to follow suit). Know that Family & Children’s Center is considered an essential service via definition. According to the US Department of Homeland Security, 14 employment categories were identified to be essential critical infrastructure workers, specifically, health care and public health workers. Their definition included “Hospital and laboratory personnel, caregivers, mental health workers, doctors, nurses, researchers, pharmacists, dentists, social workers, technicians, as well as funeral home & cemetery workers.”
The Senior team has been meeting daily to try and keep up with the barrage of news coming through. As you all are aware, the news continues to come in fast and furious with so many unknowns and at times a bit contradictory information. We are all doing our best. We have discussed next steps and believe with the current precautions in place, we will be making only slight edits to the current alternative formats we have already introduced so that our clients who are very much in need continue to receive services.Your Directors will continue to provide leadership related to your specific programs and I ask you all to continue to monitor the FCC Depot for updates.
Better Days are ahead…
