COVID -19 Update – Thursday, March 26, 2020

All staff will be asked to sign in at their respective front desks and complete a personal assessment regarding risk factors for COVID-19. This will help us document that those entering our facilities are symptom free. To help with this effort we will be adding a door sign directing staff to sign in at their respective front desk, and to complete a brief assessment. Tenants have also been advised of the new process. Finally, we have asked staff who have direct contact with clients to use the assessment before an in-person meeting to assure the clients are symptom free. Thanks in advance for your help with this change.

Our teleconference capability – and that of others in the world as well – continues to be challenged. Many organizations are looking to alternative ways to serve clients in an effort to limit in-person contact. We are also seeing traditional limits on billing for those visits being eased. We have added new codes for video and home visits for a number of programs in accordance with those changes, and we have sent updated teleconference guidelines to our leadership team which they can disseminate as needed.

You may have noticed some spaces at FCC locations have been getting precautionary cleaning. It’s a good observation – fortunately we have not had positive results from staff or clients, but occasionally we have an opportunity to do a little extra cleaning as a precautionary step to keep everyone safe. You may see more of that happening in days to come so don’t be surprised when it happens!
